They will host a FREE summer program for students in Kindergarten- 8th grade at Moriarty Middle School and Edgewood Middle School from June 10th - July 26th! Hours: 7 am - 6 pm The program includes two daily meals, weekly field trips, STEM projects, arts and crafts, and sports! MMS sent teams to the regional science fair competition that was held at Expo NM in Albuquerque this week. Two teams had excellent showings are are waiting to hear from the judges about their performances. Congratulations to Eli Serafin Lopez, Afid Damian Reyes, Carmelita and Angelita Tapia! Excellent job to all and we eagerly await the results of the judges scoring!

James Salerno, an MMS 7th grader is going to be representing all of MESD as a finalist in the state spelling bee taking place in Albuquerque on March 23rd! The winner of this spelling bee will represent New Mexico at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Maryland. Way to go James, good luck!

The 2023/2024 Moriarty Middle Science Fair was a phenomenal success! The range of projects was incredible! If you weren't able to make this year's science fair please try and make next year's! Unfortunately I took terrible photos that don't showcase the projects in the capacity that they deserve but I will see if any other teachers took better photos than I did. The Torrance County Spelling Bee took place on January 24th. James Salerno of Moriarty Middle School took 1st place and will represent MESD and Torrance County at the state spelling bee! Congrats to all who participated. MMS was represented by spellers James Salerno (1st place), Andrew Siefkes (4th place), Baylee Lane and MacKenzie Horner. These 4 represented MMS incredibly well. Great job!
